No one called my phone; I didn’t have to really think about anything other than what I was doing already, no-one was interrupting me. I was at peace. It’s amazing what you can hear in the world if only you take the time to stop and listen to the things around you.

I would also say in Trek 2 I felt myself looking at the area around me thinking about what I could use. I found myself really examining my surroundings, and sometime noticing things I might have missed if I was just walking through the area.

Trek Assesment 1

One situation that bothered me during the first Trek was on the beach in Racine. It was a very windy day and it was foggy as well. There was a little bit of mist in the air as well and this made it rough on my microphones. The wind also affected my recording ideas as well.

The other situation that I would say bothered me was recording the tigers. Every time I walked away, he would roar. It was only after I had shut everything down, and of course, then he starts making noise. I eventually got the footage, but it took about an hour to do so!
